Methodology
Rubber Gym Flooring : Gym rubber tile flooring installs via interlocking or glue-down methods over a clean, level concrete subfloor, providing shock absorption for weights and cardio equipment in indoor gyms.
Subfloor Preparation : Clean the concrete surface thoroughly to remove dust, grease, or debris, ensuring flatness (≤3mm over 2m) and dryness. Level uneven spots with compound and acclimate tiles 24-48 hours at room temperature (15-25°C) to prevent warping.
Layout Planning : Measure the area and dry-lay tiles from the center or corner, staggering seams like bricks and planning cuts for edges or obstacles. Leave 3-6mm expansion gaps at walls.
Tile Installation : Snap interlocking tiles together starting from the center, tapping seams with a rubber mallet for tight fit; for glue-down, apply manufacturer-recommended adhesive or double-sided tape every 4-6 rows. Roll with 50-100kg roller to eliminate air pockets.
Trimming and Finishing : Cut border tiles with utility knife using straightedge and 2x4 support underneath for clean edges, maintaining expansion gaps. Walk or roll entire surface to secure, then clean with damp mop and neutral pH cleaner.
